POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a reliable Billing & Collection Specialist to perform tasks that will help us monitor our revenues. You will be responsible for keeping track of money owed to us by customers, preparing invoices and updating records. The Billing Specialist is also responsible for creating and sending invoices, tracking of payments, updating customer records, and sending out payment reminders and follow-ups. Duties include but are not limited to creating financial documents like credit memos and invoices for customers to receive.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Time and Materials Billing
- Project Billing
- Monthly Preventative Maintenance Billing
- Communicating with CSR’s and technicians when needed for T&M Billing
- Collection Calls
- Managing account balances to discover outstanding debts or other inconsistencies
- Issue account statements monthly
- Process credit card payments
Qualifications
As a billing specialist, you must be accurate and reliable in handling accounts and documents. A high degree of organizational ability is essential due to the vast amount of financial information. Since you will be using technology to expedite your work, a high degree of computer knowledge is required.
The goal is to contribute to the accurate preparation of receivable invoices while maintaining the strictest confidentiality while doing so.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to multi-task
- Understanding of accounting functions and systems
